2005 Kawasaki KLR250 – A great little motorcycle
I have a 2005 KLR250 motorcycle that was purchased for a special project I am working on with the Cuba AIDS Project for Haiti. It’s a long story… Anyway, here in the US, motorcyclists tend to want big bore motorcycles with lots of chrome. Most people tend to use their motorcycles for garage ornaments rather than really ride. Rarely do they use them as their main mode of transportation.
The rest of the world however, sees motorcycles differently. They are their main mode of transportation as usually, that’s all they can afford. In most countries, people ride 100cc – 150cc motorcycles and you will see them loaded up with the whole family at times. The police in these countries ride motorcycles no larger than a 250cc.
Why write a blog??
Hi all,
I’m finally ready to bare my soul. I have a need to write, and I do all the time. The problem is I usually do it on paper that I inevitably wind up losing…..
I plan to write about things that I love most: my family, food and cooking, motorcycling, humanitarianism, politics, comedy, travel and a few other tidbits here and there. I hope someone besides myself will read this occasionally and add a comment or two.
Thanks and hugs to all,
Gus
