I have a 2005 KLR250 motorcycle that was purchased for a special project I am working on with the Cuba AIDS Project for Haiti. It’s a long story… Anyway, here in the US, motorcyclists tend to want big bore motorcycles with lots of chrome. Most people tend to use their motorcycles for garage ornaments rather than really ride. Rarely do they use them as their main mode of transportation.
The rest of the world however, sees motorcycles differently. They are their main mode of transportation as usually, that’s all they can afford. In most countries, people ride 100cc – 150cc motorcycles and you will see them loaded up with the whole family at times. The police in these countries ride motorcycles no larger than a 250cc.
